Mentoring the Inventors and Entrepreneur Bizwomen

Awesome to be a part of MentoringMonday as a mentor. Thanks to philadelphia business journal team, mentees, and Penn Medicine

Dr. Farzana Rashid Hossain served as a mentor to local women entrepreneurs, inventors and business owners on April 3, 2017.  The Philadelphia Business Journal hosted the BIZWOMEN MENTORING MONDAY event, one-of-a-kind event that brings together women entrepreneurs and business owners for mentoring, coaching, and networking for their business success, creating jobs and economic growth.  The event offers the women entrepreneurs get advice from mentors who are the most influential women in their industry, such as health care, education, technology, finance, etc.  This event is one of 43 that is being held by Business Journals all over the country involving about 8,600 women who will be mentored and another 1,700 women mentors. That means nearly 10,000 of the best and brightest women from Albany to Honolulu are taking part in strengthening the community of strong business women in America. Dr. Hossain makes a case how women could help financial growth of our city in her recent article: How gender diversity in the boardroom can boost Philadelphia’s economy
